Our client contacted us urgently because the final product from the extruder was coming out without contamination, we met with their quality, production and maintenance engineers and we came to the conclusion that preventive and corrective maintenance was necessary by disassembling the injection barrel and the helical injection screw, the screw was 6 meters long, so the maneuver would be challenging due to the dimensions and weight of the system and we had little time because production was urgent, we dismantled the entire system and proceeded to calibrate, clean, and polish the inside of the injection barrel which was extremely contaminated because it had never been given proper maintenance.
